Lately I've been looking at a lot of artists who make solid 3 dimension paintings of characters. The paintings I've seen looked like a lot of fun, and I wanted to give it a try for myself. I'm glad I tried to do this because it got me to practice digital painting, which is something I'm still not quite used to.

Wow, man. Amazing work on this! I really like your sense of shape and how you varied the proportions. It makes the character very likeable. I'm not very experienced in painting really, so I can't give you any pointers, however I really like how you put this character together and there appears to be some differences in texture, which is always a plus.
Well, this may be my first time painting digitally, but I've been painting traditionally with acrylic and guoache for years. I've painted backgrounds and landscapes, and I used to paint a lot of nude models at figure painting sessions. Digital painting is pretty much the same as traditional painting, minus the mess. Thanks for the compliments
Honestly, it already looks like you have a strong foundation of digital painting in my opinion. This looks really nice and very detailed. The highlights look so soft and well placed and well yeah, if I didn't know any better, I would already assume you knew how to digital paint superbly but of course, this is just my opinion. Really nice picture.
