im a fan of the AWM ... the 388 lapua is one of my favorite rounds in sharp shooting right behinf the 416 and i know it will fire nice and accurately each time vs some of the simi autos
but lack of a suppressor mount (at least on mine) makes it not as fun to just sit and fire for fun like some others like the M700

agreed but the rifle i'm using in the picture it's a Mk.13 the Remington mechanics and barrel on Accuracy internatonal Stock... i use this version just because it's easier to find spare parts...

in any case i agree that AWM with 338 it's one of the best sniper rifles ever created... with the the DSR-1

i like some of these mid caliber rifles over some of the 50s ... i have an M107 and my friend has an AS-50 and there good when you just have one shot and no spotter but they fall quick and the rounds are expensive (i still buy mine at my military base XD)

but for semi automatic "speed challenge" sharpshooting i prefer my AKS-74 with a hunting scope and a TAPCO comp
most people dont think AR when they think sharpshooting but this rifle can easily reach out to 800 yards with the smaller lighter 545s and it will NEVER jam on you so long as it has all its parts :P

XD well it was a combined gift from my friends but its the original M107 not the M107A1 so it cant accept a suppressor but the recoil is better and i honestly like the looks of the original better
and we bought it military surplus with military ID so it was bought at the military unit cost of $5k and i did not have to register it in maryland so that saves allot
