Well, that's to be expected of a short, I think. It's less expensive and takes a shorter amount of time to render that way.

My stream earlier was actually an epic fail (horrible lag; my school internet sucks), and while I was attempting to draw this, I didn't settle on this composition until after I'd shut the stream off. XDXD

I finally understood the title!
I had my afternoon free and I watched both httyd and boneknapper .(I finally found the french version of boneknapper, it was hard because the title on wikipedia is wrong, and the movie has like, three differents tiltes on internet).
Boneknapper dragon is called... The pickpocketos ! lol, WUT (os = bone).
Kidnapper and pickpocket are the same in french and english, Why didn't they call it kidnappos?
Voices are the same, but Geulfort (Gobber), and HAROLD sounds kinda differently (gob was best in the movie).

It seems like they're really weird about translating their names and such for the French versions. Which is weird, because the Spanish version actually does it really well.

Is the French dub of Hiccup any good? I know the Spanish dub's sucks, but I haven't watched it much in French yet. (Please tell me you've seen some of the English version's Hiccup (Jay Baruchel)- he's AWESOME)

Gobber's voice is double-edged, I find it really good when he speak seriously, like in the second scene of the film, when he talk with stoick about Hiccup's future. (one of my favourites scenes) . But when he yells, he kinda sounds ridiculous (he's funny for kids, tought so this is intentional).

I saw the english version of boneknaper, Jay is good indeed but there are times where he does not articulate many, it makes him hard to understand.

They changes most of the names because their translations really sounds bad for a name. They weren't gonna call fishlegs "Poissonjambe". Most of the new names sounds good, tought. Exept for HAROLD.
Does the word "nadder' has a meaning ? cause in french it's vipère (viper).
But I belive thoses names arn'tfrom the movies, but from the books.
The serie is call Harold and the dragons (harold et les dragons). The first tome subtitle is actually the true translation of the movie title "comment dresser votre dragon".

Ah, yeah! He's not too bad. Not as bad as the Spanish one. XD The Gobber really is pretty decent too. (Ruffnut was hilarious, though. XD)

And yeah, I can see how Jay could be tricky to understand though. I'd imagine Gobber's Scottish accent is pretty tricky to pick up on as well (It took me a while to catch everything he says).

I'm still baffled by Harold. Like seriously. Especially because Cressida Cowell named him Hiccup specifically because he's a "hiccup" to his society, violently interrupting their way of life- it's kind of important symbolically. "Harold" is just so mediocre sounding- not incredibly likeable, and not horrible enough to be Viking-tastic. XP

Nadder doesn't have a literal meaning, although I think it might be derived from a semi-obscure word "adder," which means snake.

And yeah, the Nadder for sure was one of the books' dragons.

Actually, like much of the french voices, it depends of the scene. I watched test drive in american and I prefered the french version because the doubler sounded much more like he was in the action. Jay sounded kinda stoned in comparison (maybe because of the accent) XD.
But on some scene like the first one I posted and the scene where hiccups beg his father to don't go to the dragon's nest, I find him kinda annoying (the french one).
I never knew who is who between ruff and tuff, I don't know either who is who in the french version and their name are also differrent XD. (kognedur and kranedur) .

I didn't had much trouble with gobber (no more than with hiccup) .

The three title of boneknapper i found where

"La légende du dragon d'os" = "The legend of the Bone dragon" (the dragon made of bones).

"La légende du dragon à l'armure d'os" = "The legend of the bone armor dragon" (the armor is made of bones).

Anyway the entire thing (movies, short movies, TV serie) is now seems tobe call "Dragons", so we were ahead Xp .

"Knapper" isn't a real word in English, either, but they made it up for Boneknapper, and it's understood that it sounds like "Kidnapper"

Hahaha, yeah. It REALLY wasn't working out for a while there. This was a much riskier composition, but it's also a lot more fun to look at and hides the fact that I can't draw bodies affected by physics. Kind of. XD

I really need to play with it more- a lot of the pieces I have in my head involve it in one way or another.

Probably something to do with flying so high the altitude screws with his brain. XD
