As he continued to change, his mind suddenly clicked with a new idea, wasn’t this something he’d always wanted? He bought the gloves to pretend to be a gorilla, so this was a better result overall anyway, he reasoned. Whether the thought was organic, or generated by his rapidly morphing body, he didn’t seem to notice or care.

His arms continued to grow, as his legs shrank, fur was thick and covered most of his body, save a few places that it was still marching against. He was finally growing into his awkwardly large hands and feet, though he had a way to go yet. His body’s weight distribution changed, causing him to slump forward. He was nearly done.
