Since the theme of Rainfurrest 2011 is "furry camping," and Summer is a wanderer/wannabe explorer, I thoght it would be appropriate to depict her hiking with a walking stick. The pose reference pic I gave to Omadaun showed a girl with a spear. It was his idea to draw the walking stick as a staff with a carved apple design. I think he said it's because of the apple traditionally being the "fruit of knowledge."
