see, this is why link having a brain, thought process, and interior monologue would actually be a good thing.. That is the most intriguing opening line i have ever seen..

it makes it more personal for the gamer,

not to mention, poor Samus Aaron. Oh why did they have to make "Metroid the other M"

I loved her not talking and having a creepy atmosphere, every game was like a weird dream.
cant fully explain it, just enjoy it, and again, the character is more personal to the player.

Probably so we could visit the depths of hell and find out what true fan fiction could become, in order to really enjoy what we had.

yea, i still love games that dont thoroughly explain the player, unless its an RPG and even then
i dont mind when the main character doesn't talk.
