Ragnarok, the time in which the god wolf Fenris awakes and brings about the end of days and kills the gods and all creatures so that life can start anew. Fenris woke years ago and Ragnarok came, but as life started over the god wolf didn’t sleep. For some reason this time he watched as life formed around him. He saw the birth of all creatures, plants, and even saw the Gods reincarnate themselves. He saw life when he only knew death and thus wanted a child of his own. Fenris searched all of Alfheim to find a bitch* worthy of birthing his child. After a long search he found her, Akseliane a bitch who lead a pack of wolves. She was vicious, strong, cunning, and cared a great deal for her pack. To Fenris she was perfect and bound to birth a strong wolf. Fenris appeared before her, the god wolf hovering over her his hulking form before the smaller but powerful bitch. He told her she would be the mother of his child, and as Akseliane froze in fear she was honored to be chosen as the mother of wolf god’s child. They mated not for love but to give life to Fenris’s heir, his next of kin. Akseliane birthed one pup, just one single pup and named him Loken, and now that Fenris had his child he took him away quickly to raise him as the next bringer of Ragnarok. Before long he realized that he never raised a child before, and had no idea what to do. It then occurred to him that if the Aesir discovered his child they would come to kill him while they slept. So he knew the only place his pup would be safe and be raised properly was on Midgard out of the all father’s sight and hidden away from his children and his father Loki. He created a magical charm and necklace and placed it on Loken, the charm was imbued with magical powers that when Loken activated it he would come and bring him back home. Fenris took his child and traveled the Bifrost Bridge where he left him to be raised by the wolves of Midgard, and kept an eye on him from Alfheim.
He watched as Loken grew into the wolf he knew he would be. Loken’s power and speed were unmatched by the pack that took him in. His cunning and ferocity when hunting made his pact admire him, and his dominance over his kin quickly made him the alpha. He grew to be much larger than the other wolves; he stood nearly three times as big as a full grown wolf. After a time all seemed well and Fenris thought he could nap and leave Loken there till he learned of his power, but the thunder god Thor was banished to Midgard. He knew now the charm would react to the gods hammer and Loken would be drawn to him like a beacon. Fenris’s assumption was right, shortly after the god of thunder landed on Midgard and the hammer Mjolnir were his again Loken became curious as to what that presence was like something he knew too well was around and he had to find it. Loken left his pack and set off to hunt down this strange power that beckoned him he needed to know what it was and why it summoned him so badly. Fenris was impressed with how fast his son ran from the mountains and stomped towards Thor and Mjolnir. When Loken finally reached the place where the Thunder god and his hammer were, he saw him engaged in an epic battle against some creatures of Midgard. Thor’s battle raged on and bolts of lightning shoot threw the sky and thunder cracked causing huge gusts of wind. Fenris watched Loken closely as his child was entranced by the fight, but a bolt of lightning was reflected and came shooting towards him. The young wolf watched as the bolt shot at him and all he could do was howl in fear, but the pup stood his ground, and the howl activated the charm around his neck. The magic surged through him causing the veins of his body to pulse with magic, and his eyes glow blue as a protective barrier appeared around him to shield him from the stray bolt. The magical energy was too much at one time for the young wolf to handle and caused him to faint.
Fenris was worried that Thor might have felt the magical energy from the charm as well as notice his son so he quickly headed down the Bifrost Bridge again and took his pup back to Alfheim with him. When the pup regained consciousness Fenris stood tall above him and started to explain everything that happened and who he himself was. He told his child that he was a god but not just any god, one that would help him bring about the end of the Aesir and destroy Yggdrasil to tear the worlds apart. Fenris explained the power of the charm and quickly started to teach his pup how to control and wield his powers. He was amazed the child beside him quickly learned and mastered so much of the power he had in such a short time. He knew Loken would be able to handle the Aesir if when they came to attack him, and maybe his child was strong enough to face off against the all father Odin himself. Fenris decided that he could leave him now to rest as he had been up for far too long. He told him to stand watch for the Aesir and to continue his training till they came to stop him. He also warned him of his grandfather Loki, another Aesir and Jotunn who would use anyone to get what he wanted. Fenris went to sleep and left his child free to do as he pleased till the time when he was needed arouse, but he slept peacefully and happy for once in many years. Loken toyed and fiddled with his powers and kept training growing stronger, wiser, and bigger he would make his father proud of his child and would stand strong beside him when the time came.
