You know they rebuilt one of the buildings in the background of the movie more than ten years after it was destroyed in an earthquake, right?

That I did not know

Yeah. For like fifteen years it was a pit in the ground, and boom, it's back, just like it was, sorta, at least on the outside. It's still empty, of course, and in the middle of downtown, but hey, landmark! It's across the sidestreet from the large theater; in the movie they used it to be the city hall, I think. It was once a bank building, so it's all marble.

The Loma Prieta earthquake took out most of the buildings downtown, and redevelopment took out the rest. The pharmacy they filmed in still exists (though I think it moved at some point) but nothing else they filmed in that movie still exists. All the downtown buildings filmed in the Lost Boys were also destroyed in the earthquake, though all the businesses they used still exist in different places. The earthquake spared the Boardwalk, mostly. Piers are pretty resilient to earthquakes. They also finally rebuilt the bridge they used in Lost Boys, it's open again - it was closed when they filmed due to age.

I wish they'd do more filming out here; it's a pretty place. I always wonder why tv shows placed out here never last...

Oh wow, that third panel, especially the face, is something legendary! Definitely the best clown piece that you've done so far!

Yay! So awesome...love the transition. Clowns are a not so secret love of mine, and this is just wonderful :)

This is so neat, I adore those big ol' toony hands and big clown feet.

Also I love how the dart gradually recedes into his body as the transformation progresses. That's such a neat little detail.

You just gave me an awful idea. Some clown fellow with an air powered pump gun shooting clown darts at say a Banker's convention, and transforming the "Suits" into something like seen at a Circus.

It's eerie how close this comes to something I wanted to draw but haven't figured out how to best present it yet. u.u

It's TFs like this that inspired some of my monsters.
