Hokaaaaay...long story sorta shortened.  PunkTiger has essentially doubled the amount that my donations to various con charity auctions have made over the years. After seeing Cody's Bowser-esque outfit in the comic page here ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/609362/ ), he asked if I could draw Cody in that getup as a more serious pinup commission. I generally don't take commissions, but again, I felt I owed him something for all those years of auctions, and I figured rather than accepting anything for it, I'd put any proceeds to the current AC charity. Plus, it'd be a nice surprise since I didn't tell him it'd be done by the con, and life's been tossin' a few snags at him lately.

This is the result. Not perfect, but for a surprisingly quick and simple piece--all done in one evening--I think it came out pretty well. Single-character art is always pretty fast in terms of coloring, and the background/border was a snap. The only hard part was choosing colors; I was worried he'd get lost on the evil-red background sky, but the stripes, red dragon and blue loincloth made it all work much better than the blue sky/green dragon Photoshop tests I ran.
His pose is a little weird...I wanted something flattering and heroic and I think it LOOKS good, but *logically* it's sorta off...he has sort of a tensed, surprised look, as if somehow a very large firebreathing dragon managed to sneak up on him unseen XD
