I started thinking about lions with mohawks. It'd be a pretty subversive act, shaving off a symbol of masculinity that is also an important armor for fighting! I can't decide if it'd be more a suggestion of pacifism and androgyny, or a "fuck you, I don't need padding for when I brawl."
