Growing Goats Gloat
An Edward Owed for
Kingzilla
Part one (All ending in e)
He went out to the farm to feed his goats, the moaned and groaned for their feeding time
“If only I knew what they really wanted” pondered the farmer, from his window’s lattice.
He took his bucket from under the sink, got to feed the goat’s wife, as he walked to field’s fence
With that he filled their buckets with food, but their eyes light up, one even gave him a bite.
“Damn animal” he scratched the bite on his finger and sniffed the morning breeze.
This air suddenly grew denser, this all from a bite, “Suddenly I feel very strange”
Part two (All ending in d)
So suddenly I felt this bite grew harder, my skin felt stronger, yet I froze hidden in the field
It soon dawned on me my body grew weaker, my presence started to subside, as I drenched
Myself in sweat coursing of me like rain in the harsh winters storms on this I yield
I try to stop; I try to fight the feeling of to this as I scratch and get to my knees and screamed
“What is this” I felt things pop and my bones start to crack like whips and chains and the sun gleamed
It suddenly became clear from the ear to ear smiles the two goats had.
I wasn’t what I had seen in the mirror that morning, I was shifting, changed and maybe deranged
Part three (all beginning with w)
With that he started to feel his skin grow prickly to the touch, those goats grinned gloating at him
When he started to change he suddenly started to hear them speak, he started to hear their wimps
Was it all in his head? Uncountable, clearly his head started to throb like a drum in a marching band
Where was this feeling before? Suddenly his body grew bigger, better, buttons flying of his dungarees
With a sudden gritting of his teeth his horns emerged and suddenly “hope his clothes pop off”
Why? Snickered the other, “So we can eat them when the shows over”, the farmer too engaged in this.
Part Four (all ending in a)
Shouldn’t be too long now” as all of a sudden they heard his spine snap, he fell to all fours, to a nova
With this he thought those goats where thinking of something to put in their agenda
This he felt a sudden change in his curricula,
These goats had ideas planted; they watched him squat and sit in the mud, “all my idea”
One nodded and pushed the other, look at him change, doctor’s orders exanthema.
They giggled “so what are we to him now his alpha?”
Part five (all ending in r)
In his changing formation he felt the lasses of his shoes creak, and crack and he began to tear
The front of his shoes and the brackets of the clothes rattled and ran lose in fear
In this time that slipped by I felt the air thin, I knew it was something to with the air.
Soon the mud grew colder and the goats watched on with delight, and this swagger.
As I felt my hand vanish and turn to hooves, and suddenly I felt this in my breather shudder
“With this the air grew denser, a scent in the air from some unseen sensor”
Part Six (All beginning with d)
Dawn soon became dusk, with the goats watching on with their eyes on my transformation
Drilled into my body I soon was one of them
Darkness arose as the moon became eager, lighting up my newly made fur and form
Doubt gone I grinned ear to ear and said “Look who is gloating now”

I literally smiled from joy while reading this!
And you wrote a paragraph on every image!
Such a wonderful piece of writing…
Clever the line’s endings; and with the rhyme incorporation within each paragraph…
Thank you very much!
It certainly brought a great amount of joy to me.
