Oddly enough, that's usually MY bowling score too.

I don't know anything about scoring ten-pin (five pin or 7 1/2 pin)... so is that *bad*?

The scorecard here would indicate that Al had not knocked over any more pins after his first throw.

So you get ten points even if you knock over no pins on that... um... ball? Or is that 10 carried over from the strike on his first ball? As you can tell, I haven't played the game much. My folks took me to a five-pin alley a few times when I was about 12... and that was the last time until I was nearly 50, when Schirm took me bowling with Lou and Garret. I thought I did pretty well, considering -- 120 or 150 or something, but they said it was pretty bad. *sigh*

The ten is carried over from the first one. The bottom square is a running total. Notice the top squares have zeroes.
