"Der Bannertrager"
I really had to Fudge here. In the original, you can barely see the horse. Just the ass sitting on top of it

All three were terrible. But show me the other three combined come close to matching's Satlin's 20,000,000, or built anything like Kolyma - and I'll admit that they're just very far away.

If I recall the story aright, it was planned to have Stalin riding a white cavalry horse in the Victory Day parade at the end of WW2. Stalin was not a horseman, and admitted it. "Let Zhukov ride him," he is reported to have said.
Marshal Zhukov had been a cavalryman in the Great War, winning the Order of Saint George for his heroism in the old Imperial Russian Army.

Because he's sitting on a pony and his legs are long enough for his feet to touch the ground. I got the idea from a former jockey, who spent the latter portion of his life drawing horse/racing cartoons. He had this one cartoon of a polo-player borrowing his daughter's shetland because his own horse was ill and could not be used. The shetland was so tiny, the player had to wear rollerskates to keep his feet from dragging.
I just thought it was funny.

I thought of something. Hitler tried to be an artist. If he succeeded, WWII wouldn't have happened. An analogy to this would be of a bad artist taking a harsh critique to the point where they become a dictator and take it out on those who were like the person who insulted him. It could be said that he fathered emo rage in that sense.
Hitler was a disappointed artist, true, but his psychosis was already visible in his art long before he became dictator. He specialized in city-scapes in which people appear only as insignificant dots. His fascination was with the buildings. This continued with Speer, who developed vast models of cities in which the buildings were hyper-grandiose. Hitler adored playing with these models.
The real irony is they the few people who supported Hitler as an artist --who bought his pictures and encouraged him-- were Jewish...

Oh my bad! I for some reason thought it was about this old war time Disney cartoon - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASW3UCc17AI
I have to say, I had to look at it 3x, before I caught the joke. It's amazing really how hated Hitler is. As soon as I saw him, I thought this was bad, Vicki. However I read your post, and looking at the MLP, I can get it, and laugh now.
I must admit, I do love humor that takes awile to hit ;).
Pity that ass has to be on top of a hot mare, instead of a hot stud stallion ;)

Think of him as the prototype for just about every asshole ever on Fox News.

Here's the original painting:

The scar under the subject's eyes was put there by a GI's knife, if I recall.

Actually, only one person truly objected and he changed his mind.

RLDragonStrider requested it. I have no idea where he got the idea, but you never know.
Okay. I know a little about Japanese history. Not a lot. Nobunaga-sama was the fellow who kind of set things up for Tokugawa, was he not? The man Tokugawa had to beat to create the Shogunate? And Taria Kiyomori was Nobunaga's ally/rival...
Or have I got it all wrong?
Or have I got it all wrong?
Taira Kiyomori was actually born in 1118 and died in 1181. More than 300 years before the Sengoku period of the 15th and 17th centuries.
He established the first samurai-dominated administrative government in the history of Japan.
Oda Nobunaga was only 1/3 in reuniting Japan until he has betrayed by Akechi Mitsuhide.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi avenged Oda by defeating Akechi. He soon brought an end to the Sengoku period.
And Tokugawa Ieyasu, the future rival of Nobunaga and Hideyoshi, completed the reunification of Japan by defeating Toyotomi Hideyori and establishing himself as Shogun.

Thank you. It's hard to keep everybody straight sometimes. What I think I need to do is look up some old woodblock prints, since these pony-jokes were supposed to be based on visual history references (read famous pictures). I can see a series of three maybe...
In the meantime, though, I've done another series of erotic pony jokes. I'll try to color and post tonight, if I can.
