Catrobis Sam Youth sketches (2026)

Around this time Rattie was doing some additions to their WIP catrobis open species guide.
I felt like drawing Sam- I had drawn her as a kid before, but I wanted to show her as a teenager and younger adult.
I got a lot of pushback since people consider catrobis a "porn" species... I honestly had never seen it that way.
I had drawn Sam suggestively a few times- but for me catrobis were like any other species/person. They could be sexy like any other. They could be "normal" like any other.
So I'm sorta posting this because I want to. I like how Teenage Sam came out.
Sam's backstory is that she grew up around humans (its why she considers Glenn to be her "brother" as his family adopted her) so she went to human schools.
Because she was a catrobis, she was seen as alien (literally) and was bullied for being bigger... so as a teen she entered a goth/punk phase as a sort of self-defense mechanism.
When she got older she dropped the facade, but she still wears some of the jewelry as sort of a remnant of that time.

I mean, I didn't go as far, but I was a BRAT when I was a teen. I look at those years and I'm filled with shame. XD
