I went over to your Patreon site, looked at the sequence, and got a good chuckle at your homage to a certain gruff sailor man and his weedy fortifier. A gag suggestion here- After the lizard swallows that big wad of spinach, when he flexes his bicep, superimpose a rampaging Godzilla over it to symbolize how strong he’s become. (By the way- In three years Popeye will hit his 100th anniversary).

Well, a little lizard becomes (seemingly) as strong as a much bigger lizard... Who is actually
a dinosaur, which most people forget that’s what Godzilla is. It’s symbolism, like when an erupting volcano, or a fuse-sputtering keg of TNT, or a whirling dynamo is super imposed over Popeye’s spinach engorged bicep. Godzilla as an emblem of ferocious power, though you could use some other critter or thing instead (For example, Gek’s bicep pops a muscular arm that flexes its bicep which pops a muscular arm which flexes its bicep which pops a muscular arm, and so on until you’ve got a bicep flex power stack). It’s just a suggestion from someone who grew up on the classic Popeye cartoons. When I get some debts paid off, I’ll join your Patron account and see what happens to Gek next.
