Thanks to
busterhouse I got to play it (btw, lemme know how much longer I can keep it, I only just started Master Quest)
The 3DS version sure is nice, everything is so damn detailed, plants and flowers added to the landscape (did wonders for the Zora's River are) the houses and shops all have a lived in feel now, the monsters and such look as they should vs the N64 version where you had to use the official art to see how they really should look. Just so much better.
The master quest version has everything flipped...I know OoT like the back of my hand, I played it several times, I can go through the Lost Woods and follow Dampe (for the hookshot) by instinct, never getting lost... so the flipped version REALLY screwed with my mind....even outside those easy to get lost in areas it messes with me to have everything in the opposite direction D:
Sheik's bubble butt amused the crap outta me in the N64 version...the way they shaded the polygrams just made me snicker... namely when Sheik was flat on their face after the monster in the well came out, it make me go "hur hur tush"
Anyone remember the Deahands at the bottom of the well...that thing traumatized many. They gave it like crab claws, I always translated the N64 graphics into spikes, like its hands were ripped off and replaced with spikes >:}

it's all slimey and gross, like spittle slung from wall to wall, the doors are more like sphincters, and ya know how your small intestine is lined with little fingery thingys...those line the floor in some places......
....And in the master quest version...
COWS
COWS STUCK IN THE WALLS D:
