My dear Monarch butterfly, McQueen, on the flowers that are now planted by his grave... McQueen, along with some of his brothers and sisters, were sick with what I think may be O.E, a common disease among monarchs, as he passed away only a day after hatching from his chrysalis.

Though you wouldn't think someone could get so close to a caterpillar/butterfly, McQueen was very special to my family, and we'll miss him very much. He might not have been able to make his trip to Mexico, but he did get to experience the world around him before departing to whatever lies beyond this earth.

Rest in peace, McQueen. We love you!
