I did indeed take some inspiration from Unlimental when designing both the desk fan and its ceiling counterpart which can be seen in my very first post (though it has been redrawn so it looks more lively).
When first designing the ceiling fan, I did play with the blades doubling as fingers of one large hand, but in the redraw I chose to turn then into individual limbs.
I felt like turning blades into individual limbs was pretty logical when turning a desk fan alive.
When designing this guy, I faced an issue where desk fans typically put their blades in a "cage" for the lack of a better word, which for a desk fan Mimic would be very much limiting, so I went around that by... removing the cage entirely, since cageless fans exist.
As a result, he now has a warning label telling people not to touch the spinning blades (a more detailed view of the label can be seen in my Art Fight / ToyHouse page for him).
I wonder if the oscilator knob works as intended. Would that mean that their body (Or I guess neck) will be stiff as a rock or does it do something else now?
The spin intensity buttons on the front work as well, so if he doesn't pay attention, his blades can start spinning on their own if someone pushes one of the yellow buttons.
