Like, the ponies, for instance, would probably get a lot of 'converts.' As long as it doesn't turn out they all turn into monsters by night, because the actual theme is 'cute horror' or something.
Regarding the valuable items disappering or changing when normal folks take them out a thought came to me right away. Since this magic is powered by imagination, the idea "This is too good to be true" might be so strong and irrepressable that hardly anybody could prevent it from changing any item of value. Then, it would really be dependant on the person who took it valuing it, and even if they got someone who doesn't value it to take it out, their estimation of its value would still fall into that magical trap. What do you think?
