Wow, awesome picture (and gorgeous plane)! I so love the aircraft from this era--the design and styling is just so freaking cool. :D Growing up I remember that we went on some long family road trip, but the only thing that still stands out in memory was stopping in a little town in Kentucky on the way back to look at the restoration of Glacier Girl, a P-38 Lightning: http://p38assn.org/glacier-girl.htm
Is this airshow an annual thing? I might have to watch out for it next year--that would be great to see some of these planes in action (and maybe borrow the super telephoto lens from work, ha).

Ha, wow, that's been going on for quite a long time then. :P Definitely going to have to try and see this next year, especially since I've never actually been to an airshow (unless you count a rather small scale one from on board an aircraft carrier that's out to sea for the day--the supersonic fly by was especially intense! :D).
