Hey would you look at that, another Aerosaur OC!
I created Vepnir right about the same time I created Lance, and originally he was supposed to be a Sukhoi Su-35, but i instead decided that Bigger is Better, and redesigned him to instead resemble a Tupolev Tu-95MS Bear strategic bomber.
One of the main reasons for this change was personal preference, while the Su-35 and the overall Flanker series is my favorite soviet/Russian combat aircraft, the Tu-95 remains my all time favorite aircraft, maybe its just its menacing appearance or the fact that much like the B-52, they have remained in service since the 1950s and have no plans of retiring anytime soon.
And that noise! There is nothing like the rumbling drone of a multi engine turboprop!
As for the good parts, Vepnir is larger than Lance by several tons, and as such has a lot more mass to work with in order to render people two dimensional beneath his "landing gear"
Fun fact, the main landing gear wheels of a Tu-95 are almost 2 meters tall!
Art done by the talented
Tankerz1 who as always was wonderful to work with!
