When I was a kid, I had a remote controlled tarantula that actually looked pretty damn real on first glance, pretty sure it was life-sized too. Funnily enough, that was long before I went from being scared of spiders to loving them, though I've always been strangely drawn towards the things I feared, at least before my anxiety disorder took hold.
