During Camp Furst State III at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, Delaware. This was taken at the old Fort Miles military base, which was active during WWII.

That's quite a few men, and 79 (metric?) tons is more than even the heaviest main battle tanks so I'm not surprised. ^^; Too bad that things are more about cruise missiles and air force these days, even if artillery remains a viable lower-cost option.
Of course, the German WW2 80 cm K (E) railway gun (Schwerer Gustav/Dora) always takes the cake, with 250 men needed to assemble one and 2 500 men needed to prepare the area for the assembly... then again, it was possibly the most powerful conventional artillery piece ever devised, and the effective range of the 4.8 (metric) ton HE shell (!) rivals modern artillery pieces. :P
