Makes me miss Duchess...
I had a black lab years ago (since she was a puppy and my dad got her for the family), but she had a tumor in her leg and she had to be put down. I never got to say goodbye to her because my dad either took her at night or early in the morning so when I went out to the entry way in the morning, only her daughter (chocolate lab) was there and I had no idea where she was until my mom told me. :(
We still have her daughter (Jasmine, 13) and her daughter's daughter (Angel, 10) though, so she still lives on. :)
