We were given 2 small goldfish a couple years ago by a friend who was moving and couldn't take his fish with him. The smaller of the 2 was about 2" and the other about 3". Now they are 6-7". When spring came I wasn't expecting anything to happen because, well, I didn't pay that much attention to the two adult goldfish as to whether they were a pair or not. Well, this little one, I think a male, show up in the tank 2 months ago. Hiding in the plants that float at the surface of the tank and was in the back of the tank. I had just done a water change on the tank and was filling it back up when I saw something small dart across the back of the tank near the surface! Now I know. It is a definite pair! LOL Last week I saw another baby goldfish swimming and hiding in the upper back of the tank. It will come out of hiding once it is large enough to not get eaten by its' parents.
