day at the (nasty suffolk) beach

drew myself at the horrible beach at felixstowe because i felt like doing something summer-y (and because if i waited for the summer it'd be too hot again). ever since they stopped serving the snowcones at that one hut it's not been worth it to go here. really the only redeeming quality of the beach is that you can see the amusing anecdotal oddity of sealand from it. this image is doing the beach lots of favours, it looks worse and more gravelly and more brown in person. still not as bad as whatever that fuckass beach in hartlepool was with all the coal dust and dead jellyfish and 800 miles of sand blown directly into my face, though.
(an aside, after looking at a map to find whatever the hell that huge factory over the hill on that beach was, it turns out just on the other side of middlesbrough is redcar, which has a lovely little lifeboat museum that my parents didn't let me look at all the things in because they wanted to take my siblings into another damned amusement arcade even though they went to saltburn pier literally the day before)
