BIOLOGY
Shadow dragons are only females. They live in dark swamps and marshes, surrounded by rather dangerous wildlife and flora that also provides them with many shadows to hide in.

Their element of shadow is always black to dark gray, occasionally with hues of darker colors like dark black, green, red...
Basic elemental power allows them to merge with shadows, dematerialize and become completely invincible while in this state. The secondary attack is achieved after a training as it is for more experienced dragons. This allows them to breathe asphyxiating smoke, that blinds and chokes whoever enters it.

Shadow dragon scales are reflective, but at the same time they absorb any light, which allows them to merge with night sky. Thus they make excellent scouts and spies.

CULTURE

Unlike many other dragons, they live in tribes and use primitive tools. While Natural dragons had their cities and buildings built by the Moles, Dark dragons and especially Shadow dragons are proud of their culture and refuse to accept any help from other species. Thanks to prejudice and racism of Natural dragons and many others they are hostile to anyone who enters their territory and rarely take any prisoners.
