This has all kinds of problems, but I'm putting this in scraps to document progress.
Muzzle perspective is going to be big obstacle for me...
I need to find a lighter pencil and a more precise eraser.
I'll try and fix this later. I need a break...even from this feeble attempt. :/
Here's to self-improvement.

Here's to you trying other creative outlets and having the bravery to post it publicly, as I wrangled with earlier today when I posted my first music submission here on FA.
I sir applaud you for sharing, thank you for having the courage to let us see and possibly in the process get some constructive criticism that will benefit your craft. :D

Thank you. :)
I did do some drawing about 9 years go, so this isn't so much a first attempt, but trying to get back into it.
But, it is my first attempt to draw something that wasn't based off a photograph.
Thank you for the encouragement. :) I'm sure your beginning art was lovely.

Muzzle perspective is a bitch at first. To simplify things, instead of using photos, I'd recommend picking a canine artist or two and see how they go about the matter. I used the art of Huskie/Mayra Boyle for examples on a lot of the problems I faced when I started off, and I still do. Her art makes for excellent reference material. =3
