Catching up felt almost like a dream. The weightlessness between them was palpable, a gradual spark that would grow between them as the hours of conversation, comforts, tears and hand holding reinforced strained bonds and feelings. Solenโs expression was sullen and exhausted from the start of their catching up, but soon after tearful admission and some laughter, his expression warmed up and was as if Viktor had never left him.
He wiped tears away from his puffy, reddened eyes and sniffled into a tissue. A hiccuped chuckle escaped him as he finally pressed his forehead against Viktorโs. His expression was equally tired yet touched and glowing. Solen held off on explaining a few major details to his dearest person, but he would indulge in those details over the passing of time. Both of them could move from their tearful moment of silence, but neither chose to budge. Solenโs tired eyes were sunken and showed the worldโs very betrayal within them, yet his unwillingness to submit never won. Viktorโs eyes seemingly shared a similar expression of exhaustion, but there was an equal amount of endearment between them both, as well.
โI wasnโt sure where to start with any of this, Vityaโโ As soon as Solen muttered his partnerโs nickname, tears stung at his eyes once more and his heart gave way to more intense pain, seen within his tired eyes and overall worn down demeanor. His sinking into Viktor was more unaware and more instinctive, and even though Viktor wasnโt much for physical contact by most, it was more than craved; intimately between them. Viktor rested his chin very gently, yet firmly upon Solenโs shoulder.
Viktor muttered gentle words and shushing to calm his pained mind. Solen nuzzled into the reassuring and affections. Even though his heart remained in pain and unrest, for once in a long, painful time, his mind finally felt at ease.
