Viktor is a very big kitty and therefore has very big purrs. When he is awake he is extremely guarded and stoic. But once he is asleep, obviously he has no control over such things. It is a true testament to the level of love and trust he has for Miss Trixie to let his guard down so completely while in her presence. And she finds the big rumbly purrs absolutely adorable.
