Anyone else ever get someone asking them this on the job?
I mean some jobs yeah I could understand that people are supposed to at least pretend to be happy and cheerful.
I work a low paying job with a high fatality rate alone in the middle of the night. The fact that I'm still alive is against statistics.
So yeah, I just turned to her, totally poker faced, and said, "I am happy. This is my happy face." in total monotone and kept up the voice until she got creeped out and left.

Sounds like the young lady in question was just too caught up in her own day to realize other people have emotions... On a side note, I now want to write a story about Oscil as Mistress Flaherty dominating an overly happy hyena...
Mind you I think it was less that she was caught up in her own day and more that she had just come from the tavern.
