PNGtubers are usually 2D animated models used by streamers. Using voice detection, it will switch between idle and "talking" frames, also having frames with eyes closed to have a natural blinking effect.
It does work pretty well, and then it's fairly easy to actually swap the model in use, to simulate a TF, or a body swap etc. :)
