Donnio is a character that's going to appear in the upcoming issue of Fred Savage, and is somewhat unique as gangland figures go in that he is openly homosexual.
Of course, since he was already killing people in Rio De Janeiro's vast slums before he even hit puberty, crime seems to suit him better than his apparent sexuality.
As a major player in the fast-growing narcotics scene in Rio, a lawless town where the wealthy and poor are crushed together, he plays a bloody, high-stakes game.
Oh, and someone already asked me this so I should probably share this info. He's a top.

Are you kidding? That's, like, one of the latest models (at least, in 1982). You needed two hands and a shoulder strap to hold the previous generation of 'mobile phones'.

yikes
quite the change from the last image. much darker all round. darker fur, darker expressions, mostly. this is quite a change o.o
if theres anything i miss about the old version, it'd just be the light fur on his chin, though, thats just me XD
i do wonder if those webbed hands ever get in the way of using guns, though he does seem to holding that (custom?) revolver quite nicely. also, bulge

Donnio as a character hasn't changed much in my mind since I last drew him. However, with the benefit of experience I think I portrayed him a little closer to the way I imagine him now.
As for webbed hands, I had given the issue some thought. Donnio tends to use a revolver as his sidearm for that very reason-- there's an injury called 'slide bite' where a person's thumb webbing can get very painfully pulled into the gun of a semi-automatic pistol while the slide moves back and forth. Since otters have lots of webbing between their digits, Donnio chooses to use a revolver instead to avoid such accidents.

Most of those are closer to 'machine pistols'. TEC-9, MAC-10/11, Uzi, and so forth are architecturally similar to pistols except that their blowback mechanisms are contained and usually regulated within the gun itself. This is, of course, for rapid-fire functionality... but no gun shop will phrase it that way. Guns like this you can buy off the shelf are strictly semi-automatic, and there's harsh penalties for breaking the law (in the U.S., anyway).
Anyway, Donnio has no trouble with using machine pistols. They're just a bit bulky for personal defense- but a revolver fits more neatly into that role.

Well look on the bright side, I managed to guess it right and I'm a fan of colts.
If I had to give you some pointers, the ejector rod shroud looks to be a bit too big and heavy, its more slim on the real thing. Also go for a longer barrel! For starters he isnt going to be able to hide anything in that speedo and for finishers the longer barreled python is more classic looking if you ask me, plus it doubles a a nice club at that weight.
Hmm...top only, I can work with that...besides I'm a persuasive rat.

Heh, if I have my timeframe right, this is before AIDS was something scary to everyone, but after people started to realize that thousands of people suffering from the symptoms were, in fact, suffering from the same *new* disease.
I think that in the U.S. at the time alarm bells weren't sounded yet because a lot of ignorant politicians believed AIDS to be a disease restricted to homosexuals, and therefore not a major concern for the general populace. One of the things that Reagan worshipers tend to omit is the fact that he knew of AIDS, but chose not to act quickly based upon that belief.

And, I see you went with Lion Jesus Aslan. Guess no Lamb of God here.
But, that's cool. That's cool. Glad you've got stacks of research under your elbow! Guess we won't hear anyone making comments to our hero if he's going to shag Winne. Which he'd probably respond with a nine millimetre barrel in the mouth...
