(Goes back to check) Ah, there he is, and the statue confirms my suspicions. The dates on the statue are a bit hard to read at the comic's resolution. It looks like 64 BE, Before Extinction, I'm assuming, - 0 AEJ. Which I take as After Extinction though I'm not sure what the "J" means. Either way, it would seem he died during the year of the Extinction. It's just a question of "how."

Fantastic page, very cute expressions, and very interesting to see she was already in a position of authority before Esperanza. Also love that she already had that suit, it's just so 'her'.

Now time for some very likely incorrect guesses.

1) Vincent doesn't actually die from the virus or the nanites, something else entirely ends up transmuting him into solid bronze so that statue is actually him in Chapter 1.

2) He's actually still alive and just retired from public life once Krolikova was voted in, possibly living in another dimension, planet, or on a satellite.

3) Using their tech they actually gave him a completely new appearance allowing him to live as just another citizen of Esperanza.

I think I need to go back through the archives soon. My memory for details isn't what it was.
