The human is view is a human girl named Elika Emerald.
In this theme of artwork, she is one of the assigned 'Handlers' to a Cosmo Canyon Beast / Larkol; Kairie on the right. The one of the left is just another one that was allowed to tag along.
The Handlers main job, is to chaperone the Larkos around town to both keep them out of trouble, And to act as Purses and Butlers. Or in another sense, these Handlers hold the Larko's Gil as they do not have pockets and refused to use the 'pouches' made for them. And to act as the pair of hands the beasts effectively lack. Often, they love to shop, so the Handlers hold onto the merchandise.
Every weekended, Kairie likes to go out to the Gold Saucer, he takes out about 100,00 Gil as a weekly allowance, used for the travel, the rooms, food, some side funds for...whatever may happen and of course a portion to the handler as compensation / payment for her service (Even if its an honor one does for free)
Kairie usually comes back with a Profit, as most of his time is spent in the Colosseum.
He is a Warrior: a watcher of he Vale, but due to the relative Peace brought to the land, Kairie takes his skills to use them in another way!
A quarter of his Winnings go back into the Saucer to upkeep the coliseum, mainly for himself so they can bring him stronger enemies to fight. Also so the other fights have some money to win.
Kaire is secretly a member of the board and helps with the Arena.
Elika is often to busy enjoying herself in all the festivities of the Saucer to pay any attention.
Oh and as for the tag along...he got lost one time and took all of Kaire's profits once with all the damage he caused...and so..he is banned from ever going to the Gold Saucer.
