While Shadow gets a new look and starts going by Hoshi, Sonic has his own development as he forms his polycule! After being captured by Eggman, Sonic is turned into a partial Werehog using synthesized Gaia Energy. While he retains his bright blue fur, his fur grows out similar to his winter coat, and his hands and feet are left bare and bigger, tipped with wicked claws.

Without his trusty shoes, Sonic has to resort to older tactics, but Hoshi, Tails, and Kit don't mind this new look at all, and he's happy to be back in strength competitions with Hoshi and Knuckles. Sometimes bashing things is fun!

The only downside is Eggman had to have some 'fun' with his stompers, hence the white stain on his soles, a permanent reminder that this form didn't happen naturally.
