Featuring the ever lovely
I really like when a caretaker takes charge and just you kinda get swept up in the authority of it all, it really makes me swoon. The last few pages as well as the one coming up really feel kinda historic for me. This was the sort of relationship I used to have and I really miss it. Like..Really really miss it.

I checked up to current free page on your website and I can’t (and yet must) wait to see Em and Kim finish explaining the relationship with Hailey, and Star having to break her own news. It’s gonna be a big weekend, so see you in 4-12mo for that lol. I think last I caught up and commented was somewhere around two years ago during the start/warmup of the fundraiser, but I’d need to dig to find my comments again. That time I stayed up far too late several nights rereading the whole thing but this time I just got caught up. I’m so excited to see what final two story arcs you have planned.
Generic fanaticism aside what keeps me coming back more than anything is the story and dialogue, it being (relatively) grounded and touching on so many real struggles. A comic about life with a fetish rather than a fetish comic. It makes sense when you said you started with creative writing before art and described your process for making Shine. I hope you consider collecting more of those “behind the scenes” bits and bobs as extra stuff for the next book(s) or at least a journal post/bsky thread (speaking of you should put it on your FA profile). But yeah, I promise people will be interested.
Anyways, I hope you’re doing as well as one can be on:
Earth, 2026
(Imagine it like overlay text in the cold opening shot of an apocalyptic movie)

Alright, time to be that one guy that is constantly over-analyzing comics on FA!
The car shown in episodes 332-333, 394-396, 428, 444-445, 447-452, 501, 505-506, and 509 appears to be an SUV with a roof rack.
The interior first appears as black (332), but I think that was later retconned to be blue (449).
The exterior is blue in its first appearance (332), then black (428), and back to a nice turquoise-y-blue (444).
We know it's the same car between 428 and 444 because that's the aquarium arc.
Since it has appeared quite a few times with the blue interior, turquoise exterior combo, I think the vehicle in this (638) episode is a different one.
Especially since I don't think it can have much of a roof rack with its 3-door hatchback appearance.
The difference between the shots in 444 and 447 make the turquoise vehicle swap between an SUV and a sedan/wagon, but I'm going to chalk that up to same magic that makes the flat tire shift from the driver-front to the passenger-rear.
Both have roof racks and that says SUV to me; so the turquoise car is an SUV and the SUV is turquoise. So sayeth the me.
This new grey car makes my brain have fuzzy memories of one of the cars I used to work on quite frequently while I was a tire and lube tech.
Something about that shifter says VW Beetle, Nissan Versa, or Chevy Spark to me, but none of those quite fit. The five-spoke rims say Nissan, but without any more to go on, I'm stuck with it firmly planted on the tip of my tongue.
It's clearly a 3-door hatchback, as opposed to the SUV's 4 or 5 door design. And the boot lid has what I can only assume to be a mini-spoiler that gives me Toyota vibes.
All I know is that my everything is screaming that I know the reference car and I'm grumpy that I can't place it immediately.

Yeah i was wondering if folk would notice the car change. This is essentially ems work vehicle and sometimes he does remote hairdressing (thing like weddings etc) so he uses this car for his buisness. I wil say tho that its not one specific car in mind, as im not that well versed in cars
