lauragarabedian is quite a talented artist in a range of mediums and styles, as you can see from her gallery. She had this idea for an experimental style with traditional watercolors, and was looking for some guinea pigs to try it out on. I already had a commission in the works with her, and I love it when artists experiment on Rooth, so I volunteered! And here is the result. Sort of a mix between an impressionistic brush style and waterbrush gradients. Though perhaps not intended, I see a hint of stained glass, too. Brush inking for the mane must've been nerve-wracking, but it came out pretty cool. :)
