Well, now you know why I was making those little fondant roses...it was for this cake!
It's for
kalika_futago's mom, who's getting married this Saturday (Sept. 10) and she had asked me to make their cake.
The base is 9x13" and the round is 6". The cake itself is red velvet, with cream cheese frosting filling, and both cakes were covered in white fondant, trimmed with red fondant, and then decorated with the fondant "fire & ice" roses and petals. I think it turned out pretty darned good for the first wedding cake I've ever made, if I do say so myself! XD

I can't get over how totally beautiful this turned out! My mother is just going to love it, and as I told you in email, this is so much more special and nice than a simple store-bought cake.
Thank you again so much for taking on the job and making such an excellent cake for us. It's almost a shame we'll have to cut it, it's so pretty! Although from experience, I know how delicious your baking is, so it's guaranteed to be a hit with the guests.

You're most welcome! I can't wait to see what she thinks of it =D And yeah, I agree, it almost looks too pretty to cut >.> But I've got a ton of photos of it now so it'll live on in those pictures ;)
