After recovering from the crash landing, I set about finding my way in this strange cubic world. One of the first things I found was what appeared to be a small village. Excited at the chance of meeting other civilized beings who may be able to help me get off this block, I made my way there with haste.
Alas, it was not to be, as I discovered the village had been long abandoned. Overgrown with plants, none of the houses had doors left standing. I begun to wonder just what happened to this village, and I began to fear for my own safety.
Inspired by some footage/pictures of Minecraft 1.8! In particular, the fact that although NPC villages are being introduced in 1.8, they won't actually have NPCs until 1.9. Having seen some pictures of the NPCless villages, I noticed that none of the buildings actually had any doors, and then the Fridge Horror kicked in and I just had to make up this little scenario. :3
The title of this pic is taken from a song by Glaswegian post-rock band, Mogwai. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCuu-mUJNCU I figured it was an appropriate title for the situation.
Other appropriate tunes:
"I Know You Are But What Am I?" also by Mogwai: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0dORHW9Cg4
"East Hastings" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSJvIlG9bls

Thank you kindly, it really means a lot coming from you! :3
And yes, the music is amazing. XD I love that ambient feeling of desolation that that particular style of music gives. Of course I love upbeat music too, but for wandering through an abandoned village which might have some nasty creatures hiding within, you can't go wrong with post-rock.

Yeah :D
Another song I can recommend is GY!BE's "Moya", from their album Slow Riot For New Zerø Kanada. It's 10 minutes long but goddamn it is amazing. XD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rsf2LoLk3SA

No problem! The song I linked, "Moya" is one of the two songs on the album I mentioned. XD Despite there being only two songs, they're long enough that they take up almost half an hour combined. The second part, Blaise Bailey Finnegan III, is pretty epic, especially when combined with Moya. XD
