Lookin good. I love this little guy. The coloring is pretty neat; it gives it a nice sketchy feel.

I can't put together what going on in the background, but that little guy stands out like crazy.
Keep practicing though, this style seems to have a bit of potential.

why only manga or anime? would you hate it if it was done by an american studio?

Of course not ^^ if it's a well written story, yes even an American studio or comic publisher would be enjoyable. it just so happens I like anime and manga quite a lot and I'm more familiar with those two art media than I am with others. But regardless i think Brave One is a fantastic character and that you have a wonderful story that simply needs to be told and I know I would love to read, see, hear this story.

see my problem is with ver few exceptions I don't think it could be told by an anime director. Or told using japanese pacing. Especially if it was being done in the serialized form that I typically see. Exceptions of course to Miyazaki, Ohtomo, and Rin Taro, but what I'd really like to see, oddly enough, is this done by pixar, however done in 2D. yes I know they are a 3D studio but that's not stopping them from running Disney's 2D department, and making a live action film :3
