Probably one of my new favourites of your work overall. The striking lighting, the elegance of Bambi and Faline (and the fact that they're both depicted as roe deer, just like in the original novel), combined with the song from the movie played in that exact scene - this pulls no punches in terms of emotional damage.

Originally, I planned to have the couple dance on a moonlight night setting, like they do in the Disney movie. But then I didn't like the lack of contrast in that coloring, everything was just blue-ish. Then I made the couple brighter from the moonlight, but that didn't look natural. Then I made the background bright and characters dark instead, and it started looking more interesting from there. Then I kept experimenting with the colors until I finally got this kind of vibe, where everything looks more like it's from a dream than a real life meadow. ✨
However, I could NOT silent the mean voice inside me yelling: "The brightly shining light is totally some headlights, they're gonna get hit by a car in 2 seconds."
