Another addition to my collection of fall-inspired soaps. This time I've put together a moisturizing goat's milk soap inspired (preemptively) by the somber smell of old autumn leaves.
One of my favorite autumn activities was coming home from school to find that everyone on my street had raked all of their leaves up into neat piles by the road. By the time Thanksgiving rolls around, the piles of leaves became mustier and wetter, but that didn't stop me from having a good roll in them. :D
These unusual little bars smell primarily of honey-almond, but have strong undertones of fresh rain, dirt, forest and a hint of vanilla. The result is a faintly sweet, musky aroma.
The subtle green glimmer to the top of the bar acts in place of both the lingering morning dew and a reminder of what was once green and what will return again in the spring.
