These are my 3 rifles. These were all carried in WWII.
From top to bottom:
Mauser Kar98k (all the nazi markings are still there and to me, add to the collector value of the rifle. This is dated 1941).
Springfield M1903A1 (the only thing that makes this rifle worth a lot less than it should be is that the receiver has been drilled to fit a scope on the right side. Don't know the date of manufacture though I suspect it was made in 1920).
Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 (this is 100% original. All the serial numbers match, including the ones on the bayonet. A little hard to believe for me. Dated 1940).

I don't know. It might be but I don't have my ref guide in front of me so I can't tell right now. Plus, I'm at work so it's not in front of me. If you want to tell me how I could tell right now, I could dredge it from my memories and I could tell you if it was re-arsenaled. =3
Very lovely rifles... all preform nicely, of course. ^^ I've got a '37 K98, a '43 03A3, and a '42 91/30, m'self... As a silly question in regards to your Springfield, since you mentioned you were unsure as to the date of manufacture... provided it's the original barrel, it should have a stamp on the top of the barrel, just behind the front sights with a number code akin to #-##, the first number being the month, and the second two the year. For instance, mine was made in September of 1943, so it reads 9-43. Also, depending on the armory that made it, there should be something like an "RA" or "SA" as well...?
