About 30 years ago I picked this up for basically pocket change. A clip-fed .22 rimfire bolt-action rifle from the former USSR. Had a nice smell to it from the wood stock with pressed checkering. AK-47 type sights and cock-on-closing with a lever safety. Accurate and takes common .22LR ammunition, but I tend to struggle with cocking on the closing stroke. Maybe if it was oiled before range time. The sling is domestic btw.

Nice little .22lr training rifle. I picked up a Czech BRNO Model 1 .22lr trainer in 2019. Action dates to 1945 - never delivered to you know who at the time. Rifle was completed in 1947 for the reformed Czechoslovakian Army as a trainer. Sometime in the early 1990s a large batch of them were brought to the US by several importers. The one I picked up came from an estate sale. Previous owner had never cleaned it, bore was full of Cosmoline along with the action. I'm still getting Cosmoline out of the bolt. An improved version of the rifle is still in the CZ line up as the CZ 457. New polymer mags for that rifle work in the 1940s version.
