it's really a fish out of water thing to have Xuanyi be an OC to a game that has notable themes of muscle and barazoku stuff to it, hmmm, and I was like "what if a femboy is in this game" started out as a concept made purely for fun but I later grew to wanna invest in him.

during his younger years, Xuanyi has always been fascinated with the idea of understanding the elements and manipulating them, but because he's water by affinity, his ideas were dismissed due to how ludicrous they sounded, as water is weak against wood and can only weaken fire, not support it, but at the end, it was his relentless obsession to seek and the drive to explore that made it possible, alongside his parents' money to fund his studies at Furvale,

though unable to fully control all elements, with his knowledge of their formulas, theories and compositions, the water, that he's tied to, can find its way to flow, to bend as the lunar form borrows light from sun to make them its own.

The main inspiration I got for Xuanyi would be classical chinese art genres called 仕女图 which are to depict chinese ladies, but I was particularly drawn to the Ming-Qing ones that depict fictionalized clothes of the idealized beauties, then I wanted him to have like xianxia elements to him so I incorporated Yongle palace temple murals which depicted daoist deities. I thought that the colours would look sooo cool on him, I dig heavily into XHS(rednote) for his aesthetic and style

Xuanyi's hometown is Bianjiang(a fan-location I made up for this woofia fannon-ish au) a citystate which looks like the Jiangnan region of china and historical china at the same time, more to him and my woofia fan/oc content are to come so buckle up!
