I can explain, since...well, that's my character and all. :3 Each cream-colored section is an individual pad. The pink thing is actually supposed to be its own pad, that sits atop (or inset into) the cream-colored heel pad - double-padding, you might say!
I realize it looks a little odd, but I have a reason for it existing. =3 It's to hearken back to an 'official' Charmeleon's foot...which one has one pink pad on the heel. I like pads a lot, so I gave myself a different set of pads, but I kept the pink pad intact as well since it was part of the original design.
I -might- be changing to a different pad configuration though, depending on what people's opinion of it is when I reveal it.
