Another thing I decided to mess around with...I've had these Dilophosaurus models from Safari Ltd. for many years and wanted to make a base for them so about two weeks ago I did. I HAVE DONE NOTHING TO THE MODELS!
The base is a sheet of slate I had with four thick beads glued under it to lift it about a centimeter above whatever surface it's on. I then added dirt, small pebbles and chips and then stones to look like boulders and a couple bits of wood I had to act as scenery. The purpose was to make it look like the two dilo's were in the middle of a fight you stumbled upon...not sure if I got that or not.
I have other models by the same company I would like to do this with, possibly wit more detail and I might redo or add to this one eventually.
