What Role, Science?
What is science without the spark of creativity? A hollow form? A shallow image?
.....nah, I'm just putting too much faux-philosophy into a class assignment. XP
The assignment was to put together three or four objects that distinguish your personality or an aspect of your personality. I chose an opossum skeleton, my Peterson bird ID book, and a dragon pendant that I used to own, but could be warped by memory (since I couldn't put objects that can't exist into it *grumps*). Could say an awful lot about me, but it's fun to let it be left to ponder its own existence, hehe. XP
Critique is appreciated - I know for sure that some areas are indistinguishable and washed-out from afar, so I concede that, as well as the crappy anatomical detail. XP Anyways.
...15-19 hours? Sure doesn't look like it, haha. XD
24 x 30 paper, or around there. Graphite.

I just hope Skellopossum is on my side... though I have a creeping feeling that Skellopossum isn't on anyone's side... I think I better leave the study quick...
Btw, I like the perspective and shadow on the cord of the pendant. Nice foreshortening (can that word apply here?) and interesting contrast between the "short" curved line of the cord itself and the long straight line of its shadow.
I rather enjoy how the cord and its shadow turned out myself - it leads the eye to the pendant, which is a happy accident - when I first added in the pendant, I was only thinking of the practical,logical application of where and how it would fall/hang, but it ended up being a focus point with so many lines leading your eye to it. : )
Skellopossum takes sides with whoever it decides to... yeah, I think I must have caught it on a good day when it was foraging for dragon pendants, hehe. XD
