Claire Redfield is the younger sister of Chris Redfield, a member of the S.T.A.R.S. special unit. Unable to reach her brother, she travels to Raccoon City in 1998 to search for him. There, she finds herself caught in the middle of the T-virus outbreak, which transforms the city into a disaster zone overrun by zombies and bioweapons.
During the events of Resident Evil 2, Claire fights her way through the city and encounters the young Sherry Birkin, who protects her. Together, they try to escape the city while facing dangerous creatures and the ruthless Umbrella Corporation.
